Prepare to move in
The tough part is over. Now it’s time to consider moving in.
You’ll need to consider how you’ll be transporting your belongings to your new property. Will you be doing this yourself or hiring a removal firm?
If you’ve decided to hire a removal firm, you can talk to our letting agents.
- Ensure that you’ve collected the keys from the landlord and you’ve agreed on a move-in date.
- If you need to move your belongings before your official move-in date, make sure you’ve expressed this to the landlord. Usually, they’ll allow you to start moving belongings into a property one week before if there is no current tenant.
- Make sure that all utilities have been made aware of the change in ownership so you’re not paying the previous tenants’ bills.
